About Us

We are owner operated which makes a huge difference in any business. Barbara Kelly open the lodge in 1984 with her 2 sons. Her son Simon and his wife Stephanie now carry on the tradition of running a family style operation. Our passion, attention to details, pursuit of excellence & general enthusiasm for making your trip with us the best experience ever is evident from the moment you step on our docks & in every facet of our operation.
Over the past 35+ seasons our very willing & eager young staff have helped to make our fishing lodge an overwhelmingly successful operation. For that personal touch, we only hold 36 guests at one time & you will be pampered by our 15 staff who take care of your every need during your stay. Many have now been with us now for multiple summers & almost all are returning next summer. They are our biggest asset & are an integral part of helping us to deliver our guests the Sportsman’s Club experience. Some of our guests have been fishing with us since the beginning & return every summer with their friends, family & business associates sometimes on multiple trips. You are not a number at the Sportsman's Club, we get to know all of our guests by name. We offer intimacy, isolation, exceptional service, first-class equipment, spectacular scenery, whale watching & wildlife viewing in a remote wilderness setting. Come join us & let the Kelly family show you the ultimate fishing adventure & create memories that will last a lifetime!
I can't begin to describe all the things we loved about this trip. From the perfect location to the accommodations, food, amazing staff, great boats and gear, the beauty of the area and yes, all the fish we brought home were beyond anything we could have imagined. My most favorite part of it all is that I got to experience it with my dad, my friend. We have memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Simon, from the bottom of my heart for the unbelievable trip with my daddy. His little girl is beyond grateful!! |
